Hengyu joined the group in July 2024. During this Ph.D., his research focused on the nanoconfined mass transport theory. He developed a liquid-gas two-phase nanoflow model in 2D nanoporous media, and proposed a Grotthuss mechanism-based ion rectification in an asymmetric MOF-assembled nanochannel. Currently, he is studying the purification of water-contaminating dye-salt mixtures using polymer membranes. He is dedicated to uncovering the mechanisms of ions and organics rejection through molecular dynamics simulations.
